Re-Think 2023 in Taranto

The event was organized to present a vision of the developments of current socio-cultural phenomena, with the possible evolutionary paths and the main projects of the Circular Economy, with the desire to stimulate the birth of innovative and entrepreneurial activities in the Taranto area, giving a new positive impact on the system local and national economy.

Re-think Circular Economy Forum will take place in person on 17 e October 18, 2023 at Ionian Department of the University of Bari “Aldo Moro” in Taranto in via Duomo 259.

On October 18th 9-30am Prof Cotugno will present a summary of the Lubritalia Dr Abrham Abe research project

The event will then be followed on 19 October from Circular Bootcamp – Taranto, a moment of open-door discussion between companies and startups, organized by Eni in collaboration with Tondo and with the participation of Joule startups, the Eni school for business and Confindustria.

Numerous interventions will take place over the two days corporate, startup, research bodies and institutional actors, who are carrying out and supporting Circular Economy projects at a global level local, national ed international.

The event will cover 3 main topics:

  • Energy transition & sustainable mobility
  • Circular ports & blue economy
  • Valorisation of waste & water

In parallel to the main event, further initiatives will be organized with the aim of involving the university world and enhancing the entrepreneurship present at the event:

  • Hackathon
  • Work tables
  • Taranto Circular

The event obtained the patronage of the Representation in Italy of the European Commission, the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, the Puglia Region, the Municipality of Taranto, the ARTI Puglia - Regional Agency for Technology and Innovation, the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Italy, the Chamber of Commerce of Taranto, the Jonian Dolphin Association, the IRSA-CNR, the Order of Engineers, the University of Bari, the University of Foggia, the LUM University – Free Mediterranean University “Giuseppe Degennaro”, of the University of Salento and CHIEAM Bari.
