How to get performance optimization

The correct choice is the industrial fluid management is very important in metalworking processes: Lbritalia Research and Development and Technical Assistance have always been "partners" of Customers in the selection and development of customized fluids as well as fluid management programs, in order to optimize performance and obtain results in terms of quality, efficiency and economy for the end user.

Generally, Lubritalia Technical Assistance operates with the following scheme:

  1. The first phase of the activity includes a technical visit aimed at gaining knowledge of the production process and the customer's needs. This phase concludes with the indication of the most suitable products and with the definition of a plant test programme
  2. Plant engineering tests make it possible to evaluate the performance of the products used in a specific process and to identify any variations in the formulation and/or conditions of use.
  3. Once these aspects have been defined, the Technical Assistance service proposes a monitoring plan carried out by the Customer and/or by Lubritalia. If necessary, the analytical procedures are transferred to internal staff who will carry them out autonomously. For example, in machining emulsions, the most important parameters are subject to periodic monitoring.

    Some of them are:

    • concentration: to verify that the active components of the product are present in sufficient quantities in the fluid being used;
    • pH: To contrast corrosion and microbial proliferation;
    • microbial contamination: to prevent and combat the proliferation of harmful bacteria, yeasts and fungi due to the effects on fluid characteristics, product quality, equipment life and operator health;
    • to avoid the formation of corrosion on the metal surfaces of products and equipment.

    The data coming from the monitoring are used to define the corrective actions which allow to maintain the level of performance and efficiency required by the process. Monitoring allows you to reduce costs by lengthening the life of the fluids in operation, tools and equipment, decreasing the frequency of maintenance interventions.
